Manavgat Tourist Information

Manavgat is the largest town in the district of Mangavat. It’s situated in the province of Antalya, 70km south from its main town- Antalya. The region is a broad plain, on south is the Aegean Sea and few kilometers to the north are the Taurus Mountains. This area is well known as the agriculture zone of Antalya province. Of course the tourism se very well developed as the sea is only 5 kilometers away from the town. This actually creates some advantages for the town as the beaches are untouched and well preserved. Many tourists prefer to stay most of the time in their hotels where the facilities are wonderful.

Manavgat excites with the long beaches, river Manavgat and historical places visited by Alexander the Great and other famous rulers from previous civilizations and empires. The town is also interesting and nice. Few decades ago this place was one of the most conservative one in Turkey but nowadays is a big center of attraction especially for the youth. Manavgat is building its image among the tourists mainly emphasizing on the fantastic all inclusive packages and nightlife. And it’s doing pretty well till the moment as every year more and more tourists visit the town.

Manavgat district is also able to present you a nice cheap holidays to Turkey in a relaxing place near the sea. That’s possible because of the many smaller villages that have waterfront hotels. These places are amazing and are perfect for family vacations. From them you can easily go to one day trip to Manavgat town and may be even to the two dams a little bit more upstream of the river. Side is one of those sea resorts where all this is possible. The only weakness there will be the lack of nightlife.
